In the transit zone of Subotica, around 100 to 150 migrants were, and near the border crossing area, there were around 50 to 100 people. The condition of their placement and supplies were moderate at both camps. HBAid distributed bottles of water to migrant families, who mainly came from Syria and other Arabic-speaking countries. The families said that they had been travelling for several months and would like to start a new life in Western Europe. Near Stara Moravica, HBAid consulted with the organization called ‘Commissariat for Refugees and Migration’, that established an open camp with the capacity of receiving several hundreds of people, about the possible cooperation in the future to help the migrants together. At the Serbian border and in Greece, HBAid will carry out relief work without any governmental support.
