volunteers

After the first meeting of the year, the volunteers had the opportunity, with the help of Hungarian Baptist Aid, to get to know each other and share experiences.

Within the framework of this academic year, a number of start-up initiatives, in mainly rural schools and kindergartens, will receive foreign language education.

Recently, five new language assistants have started their volunteer work in different parts of the country. Three Americans, one Canadian, and one Welsh helper intend to raise the standards of English language teaching. Kisújszállás, Törökszentmiklós, Nagyhalász, Ibrány, Pécs, Budapest, Sárosd, and Seregélyes Baptist Institutions have all received this extraordinary opportunity that we hope will provide tangible progress for the children as well as recognition for the institutions themselves.

Several Baptist overseas missions and educational organizations have been contacted in the past year, to reach out to more native English speaking volunteers. This could only have taken place because of the school Baptist chaplains cooperating with local staff in schools.

We would like to thank every partner who took part in it.
